Summary

This report presents the findings of an evaluation of the effectiveness of the Indigenous Police Recruitment Our Way Delivery (IPROWD) training program developed by TAFE NSW, NSW Police and Charles Sturt University (CSU). The aim of the report was to analyse the program and identify a model of good practice as well as to assess the outcomes of the program. The research methods included a focus group, 38 interviews with stakeholders and also three case studies with past participants of the program. The authors found that IPROWD offered good support for students, demonstrated strong collaboration between all stakeholders and delivered high student outcomes. The report also provided recommendations for improving the implementation of the program.
