Bullying No Way: National Week of Action
Bullying No Way: National Week of Action is a bullying prevention initiative that brings schools and communities together to help prevent bullying and violence.
Bullying No Way Week runs from 17 to 21 August 2026. The week brings schools together to help prevent bullying and violence.
This year's theme is Small Acts. Big Impact. The theme reminds us that small actions can make a big difference. Actions such as including others, speaking up and showing kindness help create safe and welcoming places where everyone feels valued.
Each year, thousands of schools across Australia take part. Early childhood providers, community groups, sporting clubs and families also play an important role in helping young people feel connected and supported.
Register as a school or supporter and take a stand against bullying. Once registered, you will receive a toolkit with lesson plans, activities, event materials and social media content to support your participation.
Parents, teachers, students and community members can all get involved. If you or someone you know is being bullied and needs support, visit the Access support services page.
What is bullying?
Bullying is behaviour that is intended to cause harm. It usually involves a misuse of power and happens more than once. Bullying can be verbal, physical or social. It can happen in person or online and may be carried out by an individual or a group.
Bullying can be difficult for the person being targeted to stop. It can affect their safety, wellbeing and ability to learn.
Cyberbullying is bullying that happens online using technology such as the internet, social media, online games or mobile devices.
