Self-assessment – Respectful Relationships Education
Undertake a self-assessment to identify strengths and areas to improve in Respectful Relationships Education (RRE).
Use gathered data on your school’s current state to effectively implement change. Several tools are available to support RRE self-assessment for schools.
Strengths Assessment Tool
This tool is designed for school committees to assess, plan and monitor RRE implementation.
The Strengths Assessment Tool:
- is a guide for discussion and reflection among school staff and the committee leading RRE in your school
- is based on the six components of the RRE whole school approach
- has examples to help your RRE committee identify your school's position on the levels and areas of strength.
Contributing Factors Tool
This tool helps school leadership teams review and identify existing programs, practices, and actions.
The Contributing Factors Tool:
- identifies what could be used as evidence of RRE implementation
- generates theories about the RRE whole-school components that support student learning and wellbeing outcomes
- can be combined with the RRE Strength Assessment Tool to identify specific focus areas for improvement.
