A range of strategies have been developed through the Professional Experience Hub Program to help supervising teachers support pre-service teachers on professional experience placements.

Pre-placement

First week of placement

• Shadow a class for the day
• End of week one questionnaire for pre-service teachers (fillable resource)
• Creating a supportive environment for pre-service teachers requiring additional support
• Pre and post-placement interviews

During placement

• The open doors to classrooms
