The NSW Disability Advocacy Futures Program (DAFP)

Administered by the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).

You and your child with disability can get free advocacy support to assist you to access the NSW public education system or other NSW government services.

Quick overview – what is the DAFP?

The NSW Disability Advocacy Futures Program (DAFP) helps people with disability, their families and carers access NSW Government funded and mainstream services, including public schools and public preschools.

Advocacy services are available across NSW and provide free, individual support to people with disability and their families, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and people from diverse cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds.

The program is funded and managed by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).

Advocates can help parents, carers and schools solve problems affecting students with disability.
