Advocacy at school is the support students receive from adults in the school who can provide encouragement, and who can be turned to for advice.
A recent review of research suggests that teachers and staff can ensure advocacy at school by:
- investing time in getting to know students
- talking with students about their learning and aspirations
- encouraging student voice through surveys and asking for feedback.
